Barbara Fluty

Barbara Fluty has been painting one thing or another all her life, from entering paintings at the state fair as a child to painting domes in Gaillardia.

I suppose paint is just in my blood (and on most of my clothes)!

After earning a fine arts degree at the University of Oklahoma, Barbara went into the field of design in the furniture business. Later she started her own decorative painting business, creating art for interiors and on furniture all over the US.

Several years ago Barbara decided it was time to get back to her real passion, sharing the beauty of everyday objects in her still lives, and the majesty of God’s creations in landscape painting using the beautiful medium of oil. Her canvases are mostly impressionistic scenes from her travels or things that inspire her sense of color and design. Barbara’s hope is to enhance the lives of others through her paintings.

Barbara is a member of Oil Painters of America and has shown with Oklahoma Artist Invitational, The Art Group Gallery, Fifty Penn Place Gallery, group shows at Paseo One, La’ Baguette. Her work can currently be seen at Fifty Penn Place Gallery and at Daily Paintworks.com.  Barbara is Vice President of Oklahoma Artists Invitational art show and has received the Anchor Artist 10 Show award.
