Henrie Close

After a career in education, Henrie Close, Casady School Primary Division Director, retired and returned to her early interest in oil painting. She considers art a fun challenge and it has taught her to see everything differently. It is rewarding to start with a blank white canvas and turn it into something beautiful. Henrie studied watercolor briefly but prefers painting in oils. She has studied art under Dennis Parker and her favorite subjects are landscapes, particularly places she has been, though she also likes tackling a totally different idea and working with it.

When one paints, time flies!

To Henrie painting is a satisfying way, and a joy, to create areas of beauty and interest. She continues to always be learning and trying to improve.

Henrie is a member of the Oklahoma Artists Invitational art show and serves as the Food Chairman.
