Karen Seikel

Karen Seikel has always loved the arts and has a deep appreciation for music and art history. Although she didn’t start to create artwork of her own until later, she would often collect artworks from her travels and liked finding unique and whimsical pieces.

While encouraging her daughter Jessica and her husband Steve to pursue the arts, Karen decided to join them in an art class under instructor Judy McCombs. Realizing her new-found talents, she has since enjoyed painting landscapes and seascapes and added still life painting under artist Kelli Folsom.

Although a working artist now, I find inspiration from my new experiences and still like to collect and find unique artwork.

Some of Karen’s favorite activities are painting and traveling with her family abroad and she finds her painting inspiration in her travels. She is also quite busy, along with Steve and Jessica, managing Steve’s Rib BBQ. August 9th 2019 she received the Women Of Distinction Award  for being one of the top professionals in her field as Vice President of Steve’s Rib.

In 2010 Karen joined Oklahoma Artists Invitational art show and was instrumental in helping form the art show into a non-profit LLC. She has also show in other art shows including La Baguette and the Kelli Folsom Art show. Karen has received the Anchor Artist award for showing in the Oklahoma Artists Invitational art show for 10 art shows. She serves as the OAI show chairman and treasurer and facilitates producing several successful upscale art shows a year.
